Jeana Jeana!

I am a regular follower of photographer Jeana Sohn who is behind the lens + website closetvisit.com. While browsing through Jeana’s portfolio, I came across this look-book shoot for Wren. I don’t know much about the label, but what I do know, is that I would happily wear this entire collection… when the weather warms up that is. I think the collection has been really well put together and this photoshoot + setting is the perfect compliment to such beautiful clothes.

Jeana co-designed this delicate necklace, which hangs religiously around my neck.

My Mother's Day

Mother's Day tea/coffee on the veranda with my family followed by brunch with the in-laws at Humbug Cafe in Glen Eden {which was well worth the drive}.

French Trotters

It is safe to say that I will be trotting myself along here when I am in Paris later this year! Here's hoping they have in-stock the multi-flowered Jackie Jacket which I think is quite lovely.

BawkBawkBawk: Jacinta Moore

Somewhere along the way I stumbled upon Melbourne based blog bawkbawkbawk. Capturing my attention was not only it’s interesting name but perhaps more likely, Jacinta Moore’s milky photography; transcending me into a world of wonder.

Each day I look forward to this Plant Of The Day series, which she is currently featuring on her instagram news-feed. A series I dread coming to an end.

Traveling Wares

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I have booked my tickets for Spain! It is a bit of a whirlwind tour of Europe, spending the majority of my time marveling my way through the Mediterranean. My list of things to pack is still a work in progress - but to begin, here are a few things I’ll be taking with me…

Rise and Shine

Rise and shine everyone!

If you haven’t caught up on the news already, Sherie Muijs has moved in with Room228 {situated behind Zus&Zo café – Auckland’s little slice of Dutch apple pie – a food I’m all too familiar with}.

We are open 10am – 3pm Thursday – Sunday. I am working in-store Saturday’s {today} so why not pop in, say hi and stay for brunch! I can highly recommend the Uitsmijter – a Dutch style fried eggs with ham and cheese on toast. Or try my husbands’ favourite, the Mushrooms – with blue cheese and black forest ham on a slice of ciabatta.

These photographs are by design-student Ramina Rai who is currently interning with me at Sherie Muijs HQ. She is incredibly clever behind the lens and has a deft hand at fashion illustrations featuring girls with beautiful manes dressed in daisy chains. You can see more of her work here.
It has to be said that I had plenty of fun at her 21st this weekend, sipping cocktails out of jars parceled with ribbon and dancing to songs too cool for me to recognize. Her boyfriend (featured in photograph No.2) surprised her with a burgundy bike and basket to come. Between that and a brand new Canon7D for her birthday, my red trimmed enamel breakfast bowls and place-mats seem somewhat insignificant but nevertheless useful for those Sunday brunches in the sun.

All of this coming from a slightly biased and proud older sister-in-law.
